These individuals act as if they are victims of some kind of pogram. Fact is, very few people have any sympathy for their plight. Why would they assume their fellow new yorkers have anything but contempt for their single-minded selfishness. This is not about "affordable housing for all new yorkers." This is about a few malingerers wanting to get over on anyone they can, and attempting to manipulate the media and public opinion into viewing them as some kind of oppressed minority, so that they can continue to game the system with loopholes in antiquated rent laws. Don't like your new landlords? Move out. Tomorrow. Want your fellow New Yorker's respect and sympathy? Deport from the gravy train you've been riding on and are now attempting to hijack. The same rent-control gravey train that is fuelled by your fellow New Yorkers hard work. How dare you bemoan your plight without a thought or care for anyone but your selves. Get over yourselves, your morbid self awareness. Please enter the real world. Sue Kaufman
