Steve Jobs Has Guts

I wish I could thank him personally, but I cannot find his e-mail address. My shortfall, obviously.
So, he has made his fortune, but seems to be willing to forgo further personal enrichment by snubbing the current educational establishment which is relegating our children to the diaspora of the desert.
We have a Minneapolis council member here, who was recently reported to be willing to burn down North High School, because he believes, that as a fellow black man, this school was doing no good for the younger members of his race. Of course, this was hyberbole, but how can you sit silent year after year, no matter what color you are, and countenance what ideas your children bring home from school, which of course, are not revealed until discussed, usually from your point of view.
And while my point of view, when contrasted with a quick review of Mr. Jobs life in Wikipedia, would not jibe with his, could nevertheless rule in the world he envisions as concerns the real education of children. (Can anyone do better with this last sentence? I've tried, and tried...and I'm very tired...)
We are possessed of an infinity of knowledge. The hardwon possession of that knowledge does not ensure material enrichment, although it can be an invaluable partner in the achievement of that goal.
Values (to have in high esteem; to prize; to regard; to regard in respect and admiration.), as "in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread", imply sacrifice. You'll have to work for a living. But that living should be one informed by an education beyond the reach of commerce, because commerce cannot thrive without it.
God bless you Steven Jobs, for your guts in proclaiming the freedom of enlightenment. And God bless you also for realizing that the phrase "Almighty dollar" does not originate in His home.
You were a marked contrast to Mr. Dell in the article I read, and frankly, I don't think the USA has a chance to survive without more people like you. Please, keep the faith, in everything good, and true, and virtuous.
