I very much enjoyed your review of the Brian Blade Fellowship run at the Vanguard. When I saw the show on Friday evening, it was clear to everyone in the packed house that without Brian Blade, the Fellowship is just another jazz band. His unique genius guides the light of this talented group of musicians, especially the incandescent Myron Walden and the keyboardist/composer John Cowherd. I have one word to say about this performance, "Wow"!
