To the members of First Church, NY: Only healing of the sick and the sinner will keep your church doors from closing. HEALING is the foundation of Christian Science. When your members are healing, each other and the neighborhood and the world, the church will feel no lack, fulfill its mission, and remain a loving neighbor in the city. The founder of Christian Science. Mary Baker Eddy, wrote, many years ago: " Forget self in laboring for mankind; then will you woo the weary wanderer to your door, win the pilgrim and stranger to your church, and find access to the heart of humanity."
