Bill Would Set Penalties for Wasting Energy

Wasteful energy practices must certainly be discouraged. Laws currently exist limiting idling vehicles yet the practice is widespread. People must be made to understand that energy conservation/pollution reduction is good for everyone, even if they are not directly paying for the fuel/energy squandered. It is good to see that Gale Brewer has raised this important issue in the NYC Council. The message certainly needs to be amplified by more elected officials.
