Council Members All Ears as Talk Turns to an Increase in Their Pay
in response to reader comment: Pay Hike for City Council Members

Submitted by Maureen, Nov 10, 2006 14:12

Let's get a living wage for NY'ers, make Council Members work full time, and then, only then, should we even discuss a pay raise for council members. Give me a break! Crying poverty in a city of poor people?!? Speaker Quinn and other Council members other than Council Member Tony Avella of Queens should be ashamed of themselves.
