Al Jazeera does give air time to some Islamist radicals. But their straight news coverage is much more in-depth and balanced than anything you'll find on CNN, let alone Fox. Al Jazeera's coverage represents a number of national perspectives, not just English-language ones.

The author's organization, MEMRI, an Israeli-funded news analysis portal, does some excellent work in highlighting agregious statements in the middle east. But such statements are only part of the story. Americans ought to understand by now not to believe everything they hear, and they will only benefit from more direct access to other perspectives when Al Jazeera International goes live.
