With the global economy, the avionics (electronics), engine's core and other critical components on Airbus aircraft are US made. These are usually the most expensive and highest tech. Boeing makes a good portion of the low-tech parts overseas. A global economy based on positive relationships and mutual benefit is what is needed. Not our present focus which is basically "We are the USA, so you do as I say."
The present administration ruined many global agreements, and is very short sighted. The interpretation of a law is the issue not what the law states. An open understanding the issues is needed, rather than to do what a large legacy carrier such as American or Southwest desires.
