Starrett City Draws $1B Bid From Developer

It seems the dream is alive and well, if you can afford it. The recent announcements about the war on poverty have lead me to a theory. When we elect CEO's to positions of power and influence in our government, their main objective is the bottom line ($$$$$$$). Under the premise of our constitution Government is not suppose to serve business, government is here to serve (We The People). It's no wonder why poor and low-income families homes and futures are being threatened. Make way for the folks who think living in the city that suffered the worst, terrorist attack on U.S soil is cool. In addition, clear out for the trust fund babies of baby boomers who fled the city at one of it's lowest points in the 70's. You want to know how they want to end poverty. Mayor Rudy (Adolph) Giuliani said it best. If you can't afford to live in New York City, you shouldn't live here. So there we have it. Rudy said it, Bloomie's doing it. Now we can imagine how they want to combat poverty. If you get rid of the poor i.e. displacement by no cause evictions (an agenda encouraged by HUD on the down low to Mgt companies whom they appoint to low-income and affordable housing projects) or a voucher program where your voucher is only good in Arkansas or some other state but yours. That is how they intend to end poverty. Ship the poor to some other state. P.S. I hope and pray I'm wrong but the gentrification disguised as revitalization speaks for itself.
