Catholic Groups Seek To Rent Shuttered Parishes

Submitted by Sandra Rivera, Mar 1, 2007 12:19

If the closing of parishes are due to financial concerns how does housing these buildings with afterschool religious instruction address this situation. In other words where is the money going to come from to have these programs. Money the archdiosese needs.

As a practing Catholic it pains me that a leader would not have a better way of dealing with this. I imagine Jesus coming to these loyal and faithful people and saying "let us come together and first of all pray and discuss what needs to be done, let us agree to discuss, let us find a way to work this out peaceable, let us see if something good can come out of this." Sadly the Cardinal has not done this and wounded people along the way.
