‘Beckham Rule' May Be Best Fit for Just Beckham

I don't know how you can have such a bad impression of some of those guys MLS brought in.

"Lothar Matthaeus, Hristo Stoitchkov, Walter Zenga, Andreas Herzog, Richard Gough, Anders Limpar, Branco, and Hugo Sanchez." Of those guys Matthaeus was useless, But Stoichkov was not.

In terms of Gough, Limpar, Branco, and Herzog, did anyone expect them to be anything special? Of course not. They aren't a big deal and shouldn't be a big disappointment. None of those guys were big stars... especially not by the time they were on their way here. MLS will end up getting a few mid-level stars in the summer I think. Not lots of guys in Europe will likely want to leave their teams in the middle of the season.
