I served 4 part time missions for the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. I was impressed with the efforts to convert the locals in New York.That's one of Joseph Smiths home states.As different as it is from the 1830's It still is the place where the mormon faith has It's roots.The problem is not whether the New Yorkers lives would not be blessed by converting to mormonism.It's that they wont even give the missionarys a chance to explain the churches doctrine and the book of mormon.That task is usually given by a anti mormon family member,Pastor or non mormon.How would you feel if, When someone asked about "you" and most of the people they ask are your opponents?.How are the faces of these anti mormon majority of people going to look.When at judgement day, when God asks them."Who told you the mormon church was a cult or evil ?".I have a feeling that alot of fingers will be pointing to those who only judge this church on Its preceived faults.Not on its long standing Beliefs.The question when comparing the worlds religions is not only who's wrong,But who's Right?.And how do you find out,Who's Right?.We only ask Investigators to give a small effort and then go to a quiet place and ask God in the name of Jesus Christ ,If it's True.How bad is that? It's not.We dont get paid for preaching and we never put down other churches by calling them a cult. I only ask New Yorkers to give the missionarys a few hours and your life will be blessed for all eternity.That's my belief,And I will respect yours.Brad Jennings, Glendora Ca.
