Crown Prince Henrik Appals Denmark As He Admits Appetite for Dog Meat

Your article is correct. M. Henri de Monpezat was a class-mate of my elder brother Jean Don in Albert-Sarraut French School in Hanoi in 1951-2 and invited Jean for a meal of dog meat (which was refused) at that period. We find it certainly strange that a white young man in Vietnam could ingest dog meat, but I heard many people say that the dogs are specially bred for consumption. That is correct. I went recently to Hanoi and found at each corner of streets the panels for publicity for Dog Meat Restaurants. The North Vietnamese like very much dog meat while the South Vietnamese do not. They say there is a lot of protein, it is also said that it is very good for sex, and is better that Viagra. I have never eaten dog meat, and find it repulsive. I do not believe that Prince Henrik has eaten his dog. The fact that his dog disappeared does not mean that he has eaten the said dog. The Danish people have indeed a very strange sense of humour.
