I rarely comment on newspaper stories or columns. Rarely does a newspaper column ever make me smile, much less laugh out loud. Mr. Steyn's column on the hypocrisy of "St. Al" is one that I am sure that the Huffington Post and all of the other Climate Geek sites, will not be viewing favorably. Thank you Mr. Steyn. The "irreverant" Mr. Gore and his ilk need to be reminded that one should "practice what one preaches:. Also, most scams, or come ons, use flowery language to disguise the scam. In addition, scams are for those who are willing dupes to accept a role in the scam.
Now ths scam of St. Gore is very cute. What else does one call the taking of money from one's left pocket (under the guise of buying carbon credits from a company that you own) and transfer the oney to your right pocket? The premise is, that good old Al is doing this all for you and me. Isn't that niice of him? And all of St. Al's friends will do the same for us, because they are such nice rich people.
I can only say, with an apology for attempting to be humorous myself: "Carbon Credits, we don't need no stinkin' carbon credits."
