mr. gingrich, as a historian knows there are other campaign models in addition to the great debate. since the candidates have deided to begin campaigning forever before the first primary the have the oportunity to use another approach. in the 1900's candidates wrote out their platfrom, their position on issues, in some detail and it was distributed and explained by their state and local organizations. they had time to respond to issues brought up by the public when their position needed explanation or defense.

the current candidates have time to write their positions on, lets say, five important issues; once a month, for five months. they will still have time to respond, if necessary, once a month for five more months.

they won' because substance is the last thing they wnt.

999 is a good idea that needs to be pressed
