Rat Tales Stretch Back In City's History

I just wanted to thank you for you fairly balanced handling of fancy rats in your article. As a fancy rat owner for the last 4 years (and a once former rat hater) I have come to see these little guys as one of the smarter pets I have ever had the honor of welcoming into my home. They are always eager to greet us and are willing to hang out with us. The more my family and I interact with our 6 pet rats the more they remind us of our dogs in their actions. They are clean, very social, love to groom each other, and care for each other when ill. I agree with Ms. Kehl who stated that they live short lives, in which time they steal your heart of which you gladly give to these remarkable animals, 2 to 4 short years just does not do their lives justice.
