I agree that Mr. Libby should be pardoned. President Bush actions (or inactions) by not taking his political enemies head on has allowed those who work for him to be thrown under the republican bus. But do not expect the president to pardon Mr. Libby; I believe he will not do so. After watching the President for almost eight years I believe he is an honest and decent man and his intolerance for alleged unethical or illegal behavior a strength, but used by his enemies against him.
During the presidents two terms he has not come to the rescue of any employee of the Federal Government who has been wrongfully accused, prosecuted or convicted of any crime that I am aware of. Since he says that his administration will set a standard for conduct he will turn the cheek and let those fall all in the name of being bipartisan. In fact if President Bush worked as hard for his own administration and party as he does for those who disagree with him this never would have happened in the first place. Mr. Libby deserves a pardon so do two Border Patrol Agents from a recent incident, but don't expect that to happen either.
