The story of the three hundred is one of the most touching (enough to bring tears to the eyes of any hardened warrior) and awe-inspring stories from history. I only hope the failure of this abomination of a film doesn't lead Hollywood to the false conclusion that the problem lies in the subject matter. There's enough mythology already in these stories without adding Lord of the Rings touches. How about a film about the march of the ten thousand?
