Iranians Training Qaeda Terrorists to Attack Our GIs
in response to reader comment: so what will the US do?

I have to say this article really makes me laugh but the fact that some people take it as fact is frightening.

This is reminisceint of the type of argument sput forward by Bush & Blair, and brought to the UN by Powell."Con" is,as Shahnawaz says just pulling statements out of his own furtive imagination, with absolutely no basis for them evidentially. He must be on medication.Con Christian Andersen would be more apt!

Iran now has a POLICY to to forge closer links with Mr. bin Laden's organization?Con believes this but where is the evidence for this? It's never been stated before. If there are Al Qaeda In Iran under house arrest,it is probabaly because of US intransigence that they are still there. After 9/11 Iran detained these and many other Qaeda fighters coming from Afghanistan and was willing to transfer them back to Afghan/US custody.Instead the US started to tell everyone they wer harbouring them!.In addition Iran was fighting Al QAEDA within it's own borders long before 9/11

I believe if the US gave up on it's 27 year beligerrent stance towards Iran, these guys would be handed over in a flash.Time to bury the hatchet big time.

As for the training in in sophisticated terror techniques in Iran, in order to go to Iraq /Afghanistan,why would they?Thye can quite easily train in their own countries as they control most of them, not the coalition.Where is this guy getting all this information from that he has such detail, when it has been acknowledged, again publicly by Us INTEL, that they do not have effective Intel on the ground in Iran. And we are supposed to believe the "CON"?

How does he say that British commanders(anonymous) state that Iran is fueliing the insurgency with fighters and money, when 2 -3 weeks they stated publicly that there was no evidence of this, and they HAD looked for it!

Next "Iran has always maintained close relations with Al Qaeda" What????

He glosses conveneintly over the fact that Al Qaeda followers would have no compunction in wiping out Iran as it believes SHia to be apostates,ie. heretics !!! A mortal sin justifiably punishable by death according to them. And as outlined above Iran has been anti AL QAEDA since year dot, when the US/Saudi ARABIA helped to create it

Then,According to America's 9/11 Commission report, let me stop you there. This comission has been branded by those who even took part in it as being a whitewash and grossly inaccurate/inadequate,so quoting from it as an authoritative source is disingeuous.

Con Coughlin must be on something to dream up soem of the connections and supposed agreements between Iran and al-Qaeda only he and some "official" are privy to.It beggars belief how objective people could swallow this, but David E does. Please Dave dig a little deeper

Basically this article is a tissue of lies, based on comments from "officials" and "sources",the usual drivel for propoganda in the Rumsfeld style.I thought we were past this at this stage, obvioulsy not in Con-cuckoo land

It is designed to whip up sentiment and fear and help prepare the gorund for another disastrous war.The differences between Iran and the West could well be sorted if ALL parties acted honestly and fairly and I emphasise ALL,to include Iran as well as US/UK etc.
