He showed leadership in demanding greater accountability in reining in abuses in the use of national security letters????

He's most likely the one who encouraged the FBI to abuse the provisions of the PATRIOT Act and we're supposed to applaud him for having to rein in the dogs he let loose in the first place?

Great tautological exercise.
