Up until recently, I thought the worst nightmare for NYC would have been if David Dinkins or Ruth Messinger had been mayor on 9/11 rather than Rudy Giuliani. However, based on his typically abysmal response to the deaths in the Bronx fire last week, one can only shudder at the thought if Michael Bloomberg had been mayor Sept. 11. Or, God forbid, we suffer another attack while this bonehead is mayor. Would he bother to interrupt his schedule to confront it?

The guy might have great management skills; a leader he ain't.
