California Lawmaker Becomes Highest-Ranking Official To Say He's a Nonbeliever

Submitted by Jamie Kelley, Mar 13, 2007 15:09

I can't believe that in this day and age there's only one elected official in the United States government who's willing to admit that he doesn't believe in God. If more people started to wake up and realize that we're responsible for our own destiny on this planey, then I think there'd be a lot less hatred, fear, bloodshed, ignorance, and misery on this planet.

Religion and the belief in an all knowing deity keeps people in the dark and allows them to be manipulated by their leaders - both government and religious leaders.
