Payne To Appeal New York Case On Vouchers

I am a parent of two elementary school age children. I feel that we as parents should decide where our children will receive the best education. The money that the goverment allocates for each child in the school system needs to be attached to the child. NOT the school they attend. If the money was to follow the child and given to the school that is best suited for that child, the schools would not be able to fall short. The schools would try their best to have children attend there school creating competion and a reason to attract students; offering teachers insentives when parents choose there school, not just because the union says you get an increases no matter what kind of teacher you are. I feet that we are not do enough to change the school system we all just sit back and allow out districts to teach for these state mandated tests that now have started in third grade. Are we making teachers accountable or are we just test crazy. I want my child to have a well rounded education. Test do not define a child. They will not tell you who your child is going to be, if he will or will not be a productive member of society. I want my child to be taught with foundation and growth.
