I was at the Juan Diego Florez recital. I respect your observations, which were interesting in parts.

You say: "But Mr. Flórez sang the aria well, if slowly — slowness in Mozart arias is a curse."

I can't wait for your debut recital at Carnegie when you shall demonstrate to all of us how Mozart should be sung (something tells me I'm being optimistic here). Until that happens, BRAVO to Mr. Florez for the best concert of my life this whole year.
