Traffic Tsar Candidates Have Vastly Differing Visions

If the current commissioner believes her parting advice is "You're serving all five boroughts", either of the two candidates will far surpass, what I refer to as the "dumming down of the agency". Both candidates are transportation professionals. This alone with bring creditability to an Agency whose professionalism has eroded though the years. Since the departure away from hiring truely qualified people as early as 1992, (including Elliott Sander)this technical agency has devolved from one hack to the next. Though I favor Hordiniceanu because he is an educated transportaion professional. Sadik-Khan is an attorney and although she may have an edge with transit, Horodniceanu has his pulse on all venues of transportaation, from traffic to transit. With at best, a two years position, either one will breath fresh air into this deflated Agency, although Horodniceanu is harder to spell than Sadik-Kanh. ZS
