Giuliani Will Meet The Right

Submitted by Jack, Mar 18, 2007 17:44

In rejecting Rudy Giuliani's request to speak at CPAC in 2005, CPAC Chairman David Keene explained that he didn't want Rudy to use CPAC to publicize himself.

By contrast, Keene rejected calls to disinvite Ann Coulter to future CPACs, because it is not ACU's place to make such decisions, but for "people listening . . . to judge" A press released elaborated: "ACU and CPAC leave it to our audience to determine whether comments are appropriate or not" .

This seems like a double standard. On one hand, ACU is perfectly willing to exclude one person. On the other hand, ACU declares that exclusion of another is out of its hands.
