I watched two extremely intelligent men discuss vital topics about the bleak future of this nation. I was surprised that Governor Cuomo missed the most important aspect of George Bush's so called policy of embryonic stem cell research. All of the embryos which are to be used for research under the bill which was unfortunately vetoed by Bush were destined to be destroyed anyway. Bush's so called policy is beyond absurd in that by not conducting research on these disgarded embryos saves nothing. All are still hospital waste. The Asian nations will surge ahead in this technology along with the UK, Sweden, Australia, Israel, and many other nations.
As David Gergen stated at Harvard University this is not just about technological advances which will no longer occur in the US, it also represents a decline in the standard of living of Americans since the best minds will continue to leave our shores and wealty Americans will seek treatment in a foreign nation.
