Gore's Return

Submitted by Derek Murphy, Mar 21, 2007 08:45

The bit about Gore becoming "the butt of humor" plays into a nearly decade-old script in which a decent, intelligent, highly capable public leader is trashed as dishonest, unstable and laughable by members of a media elite who, as much as any cohort, deserve responsibility for GWB and all he has brought us. Republicans know this script and recite it for publication, faithfully.

By the way, check your facts: Gore was the Instapoll winner in his first debate with Bush; only after the media worked their magic did his performance become "bad," and did he begin to sink in the polls.
