I think it's disgraceful that in the "land of the free," five years after 9/11--when everyone was asking "Why do they hate us?"--we still have not learned that what we don't know CAN hurt us. America apparently prefers to have its biases and ignorance and ridiculously limited world view regurgitated back at it rather than try to actually learn something about the way the rest of the world thinks. Hey, America: Listening to an opinion that isn't government-sanctioned doesn't make you a traitor! I deeply resent being prevented from having the option of hearing these alternative voices. If this de facto censorship isn't an indictment of corporate-controlled media, I don't know what is.
