Re Russell Berman's coverage today on Gore's appearance before the House yesterday, I urge Mr. Berman, who clearly has not, and anyone else who has not, to see the British
Documentary on global warming, "The Great Global Warming Swindle", at youtube.com. All of it!
The first five minutes are unpromising, a vulgar overture to what turns out to be a serious and compelling
presentation. It lasts an hour and ten minutes and challenges the basal premise of Gore's
sanctimonious alarm, that a perilous and pending rise in CO2 emissions, humanly induced, threatens
the planet, that there is no respectable alternative to his prescriptions. You may not be changed by seeing it, but you cannot call yourself serious about the problem unless you have withstood it and sought persuasive refutation. The editorial writers of the Sun are also urged to take the hour off and in order to review recent, cautiously uttered, editorials, and better inform future ones. The issue is not only the
economic and human consequences of Gore's proposals, but also the scientific basis of his hysteria and
the confidence with which he.claims well nigh unanimous expert confirmation of his claims.
