Calling carbon dioxide "a prime greenhouse gas" is misleading unless you also mention that it accounts for only about 3.5% of the greenhouse effect in Earth's atmosphere. Water vapor accounts for about 95%. Anthropogenic (man-made) carbon dioxide accounts for only about one tenth of one percent of Earth's greenhouse effect.
