New Technique Lets Bloggers Tackle Late-Night News Dumps

Bush-haters like me are sure to hail this development as a wonderful new bulwark of democracy. Whether it will actually work out that way remains to be seen. I do, however, see one new consequence--a strongly positive one. This labor-intensive blogging activity is sure to engage the time and energy of thousands of fringe-dwellng freaks and nuts who would otherwise still be ginning out hate mail, conjuring up hoaxes, creating computer viruses, and otherwise disrupting society. The possibility that they might actually do something to elevate American politics at the same time is potential icing on their little cake.
