I find it appropriate that a paper, whose microscopic distribution is limited to NY's wealthiest neighborhoods and/or economic centers would run an editorial so threatened by anti-capitalist ideas that it would make the Red Scare blush scarlet. What is there to lose in academia revisiting a period of American history known to be politically veiled to the point of cliche. The past sixty years have consistently and aggressively presented a politicized version of history of which this symposium may be trying to break free.
