Halt in Funding of War Would Endanger GIs

Submitted by rogerh, Mar 27, 2007 00:36

If Bush vetoes this spending bill, the result will be a halt in funding. Therefore he should not veto this bill if he cares about the welfare of the GIs the way he claims. Based on his track record, I really doubt he cares what happens to them. But all this is total bull -- why wasn't this 'emergency' funding part of the budget that Bush had submitted a long time ago. This 'emergency' funding wasn't a surprise to anyone. Sounds to me like the administration still thinks that noone's looking.
