lucinda's performance last friday was not up to her standards. i beg to differ with some who say her opening RESCUE ME was so special. i say it set the tone for a slow and uninspired performance. yes her voice sounded fantastic with the excellent sound the revered hall provides. part of the problem may have been with the bass and drummer. they appeared very disinterested and "just there" along for the ride. driving up from philadelphia that took almost four hours due to traffic and tunnel delays, i expected much more from my alltime favorite singer songwriter. one less than average show out of 11 shows is still a very good average. however, the sold out crowd, deserved much more. when and if lucinda comes back to radio city, pay the stage crew in advance so we do not have to hear about the union crap cutting her show short and bring along a new bass and drummer.
