Over 90% of the world at large think the USA is wrong to be involved in Iraq, over 90% of the world think Israel has no right to interfere in the West bank and Gaza (indeed a huge proportion think Israel has no legitimacy as a state whatsoever). Given these facts, and they are facts, why oh why would we in the UK want to become more like either of these two states? And before you readers bleat on about how ungrateful these Europeans are remember you in the USA are nothing more than failed Europeans who had to be dragged kicking and screaming into two world wars, ....... you generally don't have to be dragged into escapades against badly armed far smaller countries right enough. Let's be realistic, Iran has enough weapons put by to cause the USA and Israel an awful lot of bother and I think the time for diplomacy is over as your writer suggests but I don't think either the USA or Israel are going to get the better of it this time. There is an old saying, those who live by the sword will die by the sword, ........ I think it comes from some holy book called the bible. It is long past time that the USA started to back Christian ideas rather than back Israeli agendas by piling up dead Americans in foreign lands, ..... that just happen to have oil. And has no-one ever had the scary thought that if the USA, with every scientist the Europeans could muster to give them, could produce a bomb within five years from material from reactors built in university basements. That the Iranians might already have a bomb and are just suckering you in? You couldn't blame them if New York was nuked and you were telling the world you were treating them like this to PREVENT them getting a bomb. They would have a cast iron alibi, ...... YOUR security services reports saying they were at least five years away from getting one. I think you should take more care when it comes to Iran, ........ they are a clever people, and let's face it Americans in general aren't very clever people from the evidence of recent past history.
