I'm a big fan of Joan Didion's writing. Liked The Year of Magical Thinking, but didn't think it was great. Not interested in seeing the play, but am not much of a theater person to begin with.
But this level of snippy bitchy criticism? Comeon. For a journalist to quote Amazon comments in a column when everyone knows that anybody, anybody can contribute anonymously is not only unprofessional, but reeks of unmitigated jealousy.
