As Wal-Mart Concedes, Council Members Gloat

Submitted by ethel scher, Mar 30, 2007 08:36

So, Gale Brewer laughs and gloats that Wallmart is not coming to NYC. Has she asks her constituents if they wanted a Wallmart? Did she ask them if they mind that a prescription for $3/month is not available because she, the know-it-all, has determined that Wallmart is not desirable for us upscale New Yorkers? Perhaps she doesn't have to ask. But I would like to ask what her relationship is with the powerful unions? Are they pulling her strings? Ms Brewer, how honest are your intentions?
