Were they supposed to not replace anything in the stadium since Ruth played there? Should we be sitting on the same wooden planks, hammered down with rusty nails?

Another hack journalist writing something for it's shock value. Did Jim Gray help you with this?

It's the FIELD that Ruth played on. The mound, the plate, the outfield, second base, etc. DiMaggio wasn't sitting in the upper deck and we haven't erased history by adding Monument Park.
