In This Exhibit, It's ‘Hello, Dalai'

I was in New York last week for a few days, and went to see The Missing Peace at the Rubin Museum, and was therefore interested to find this review. It's a nice review, and a good read, but I wish Mr Ivry had said something about how the exhibition sits so well in the space at the Rubin Museum - it seemed made for the galleries there, and the range of work was so diverse, yet thematically held together so ingeniously, that I felt wafted through the show rather than having to pull myself along (as is often the case). I know, I know - you only have so much wordspace in a review like this, but it is also worth mentioning the delightful mix of contemporary and traditional, e.g. installations by the likes of Laurie Anderson, Marina Abramovic, etc with antique tangkhas from the Museum's (and the Dalai Lama's) own collections. Otherwise, I agree with just about everything here!
