Could you comment on another development? After several years of Sunni-on-Shiite violence the Shiites are fighting back and they are in the process of ethnically-cleansing Baghdad of Sunnis. The surge has momentarily stopped the worse factions of Shiite killers (those backed by Iran) giving the Sunni reasons to see our influence as important to their future in Iraq. My question is: does the Shiite retaliation play a significant role in forcing the Sunni to the table? Is Al Qaeda being blamed for the failed strategy to subjugate the Shiites and drive out the Americans? Are we now seen as the only barrier to the preventing of a total Shiite slaughter of the remaining Sunni?
