Key Difference Emerges Between Health Proposals of Clinton, Obama

If people would just control their weight, exercise, stop smoking, wear seatbelts when they drive (and of course, don't drink and drive), there would be no healthcare crisis. If they don't do these things, no amount of money, no matter what the source, will make up for self-indulgent, undisciplined, fatalistic lifestyles. If you think people can't change, remember, smoking is 1/3 of what it was two generations ago, while obeisty has roughly tripled in the same period. Mass changes in behavior are possible - we just have to encourage the good ones and discourage the bad ones.

Get the sugared foods out of schools, replace them with mandatory daily physical education, raise taxes on cigarettes, increase penelties for DWI, and increase incentives for staying healthy, and our sickcare system can handle the rest.
