Barnard Alumnae Opposing Tenure for Anthropologist

How ridiculous her book is, especially if you know the history of Israel and the Jews. I have been a student of Biblical archaeology for years and never have I heard such a preposterous premise.

The Muslims/Arabs make up their own history time and time again. There is Arab history, then there is world-wide history accepted by scholars all over the world. Some examples: Muslims claim Mohammed ascended to heaven from the Dome of the Rock/Temple Mount in Jerusalem, but Mohammed had been dead for decades by the time the Dome was being built in 691 CE. Another: Al Manar TV in Lebanon (supported by Hezbollah) interviewed an Imam who said the Arabs were first to discover America, and when the Pilgrims arrived, the Indians all spoke Arabic.

Most Muslims never check out the authenticity of what they are taught. They blindly follow. Ms Abu El-Haj is guilty of taqqiyah, a Mohammed-endorsed method of lying to promote Islam. No tenure for Ms Can't Be Trusted.
