Please call your representative in Congress to ask him/her to support House Resolution #1080 in support of Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, the courageous jounalist on trial for sedition and treason in Bangladesh. The resolution states that it is the will of Congress that the charges against Mr. Choudhury be dropped, that his confiscated property be returned to him and that those who attacked him should be prosecuted. This resolution is supported by both Republicans and Democrats and must receive a favorable vote before Congress adjourns in December.

The European Parliament voted, on November 16, 2006 to support Shoaib Choudhury. It is time for our government to do the same thing.
