Using Captives To Influence the West
in response to reader comment: victory of Najad

The sailors confessed because they were coerced – why don't the Islamic apologists complain about the Iranian flaunting of the Geneva convention against parading and forced public confessions?

At one time in our history the taking of hostages was considered an act of war and was responded to as such. Are English citizens slaves to be used by Iranians as tools? It is cowardly and foolish to appease these people because, in the end, it will cost all of us dearly as the Iranians continue on their path of war-making without penalty.

These brazen acts by Iran should not be responded to by diplomacy but by simple brute force and we should not leave our best weapons in there silos while responding. Let's take a lesson from our forefathers who in the face of a religious dictatorship with designs on world domination through warmongering, fought tooth and nail and demanded nothing less than unconditional surrender. Our forefathers achieved this goal by two well placed nuclear weapons.
