I love the obvious public school teacher E-mails filled with smoke, sand, and mirrors, like the one above. Why not talk about the merits . . . you know, those kids you are supposed to be educating . . . . a generation composed of huge numbers that cannot properly read, write, or do simple computations. Actually, that's far more hurtful to the legacy of Mr. Shanker and others. . . or at least it would be if outcomes counted. Where's the shame here? Hope your union has protected your job and salary enough so that you can do what I HAD to do . . . send my children to a private school.
