How Tolerant Are We?

Submitted by Mark, Apr 10, 2007 14:40

So at a Harvard student forum questions were asked? This is supposed to mean that bigotry is going to keep Romney from being elected? As an evangelical myself, I can say that I don't know any evangelicals, nor have I even HEARD of any evangelicals, who will refuse to vote for Romney on the basis of his Mormon religion. Perhaps they are out there, but they are a minority. Now, on the basis of his flip-flopping on the important moral issues, YES, you'll find enough evangelicals who won't vote for him to doom his candidacy. THAT is a done deal. It's over. He's already washed up, he just doesn't know it yet. NOT because he's a MORMON, but because he's clearly an opportunist politician with no real moral compass, and no apparent backbone.
