it's whether it's true or not. The point of history is not to create mindless drones who "love America," it's to create thinking individuals who learn from the mistakes of the past. Given the fact that you never discussed what is true or false, only what makes America look good, it would seem that you are espousing the idea that history should be twisted in order to get across whatever message is currently convenient.
