Oddo and his Republican cronies are again showing they don't care for our city's minority population. His bill bans the use of aluminium bats--the same ones used by every NCAA team---while allowing richer and presumably whiter kids (kids that look like Mr. Oddo) to use these bats in their private leagues.

If better bats make for better players why does Mr. Oddo want our public school athletes to be placed at a disadvantage in competing for public schools--does he think only affluent white children whose parents can afford private leagues deserve to have kids on college teams?

If Mr. Oddo wants to help public school athletes there are more constructive ways than making silly statements about industry/league conspiracies.
