I think there is one aspect that is missing from the popularity question surrounding President Bush. That is the media bias that has been directed against both President Bush and those who agree with him. This combined with a public that gets its information in four ways; headlines that are editorialized, overly dramatized and factually challenged documentaries such as the ones produced by Gore, Moore and the soon to be produced Charlie Sheen piece on the "conspiracy" of 9/11, the condensed T.V. news reports that are slanted and lastly form people like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart. This ill informed public agrees with and makes no attempt to question the validity of these reports and opinions. The ultimate consequence of this lethal combination is two fold; we are slowly imploding, great nations are destroyed from the inside out, and our enemy's belief that we are weak is reinforced. Thus, President Bush will ultimate be viewed in the same manner as Truman, maligned in his time but ultimately he will be judged favorable in history. That is if the same forces that control and direct today's debate do not control the writings and teachings of his legacy in the future.

Among many other reasons I wouldn't do this-----troops are dying needlessly because of the president's misjudgements.
